Peckham Basic School was established as early as the 1940's. It served to prepare pre-school children in the local community for elementary schools in Kilsyth, FrankfieldGrantham and Tweedside in the same parrish five miles away. Our community reopened the Peckham Basic School in 2016 with the hopes of giving our local children the opportunity to stay in our community and attend Basic School.  We are proud of the community leaders, church member, parents and friends who worked so hard to see our beautiful basic school reopen and serve the community again. During Covid we taught online, but it was so challenging, but were forced to close the school. In July 2023 we reopened with a different approach. We did an enrichment program giving high schools students stipends to teach the younger children. Success!

July 2023 Summer Program
Three High School Students were paid a Stipend to teach the younger children in our Summer Program. With the assistants of Trained Teachers, they were a success. Your donations will help to sponsor this program for Summer of 2024.
2023 we gave 3 Micro Loans to 3 young mothers to start small businesses to support their families.
2023 we gave 2 Stipends to train 2 young people on how to make furniture.
PROJECTS
